Historica Canada is hosting a Votes For Women contest to reflect the history of women’s suffrage in Canada.
100 years ago the women’s suffrage movement had successes across much of Canada. To commemorate this milestone, the Votes For Women contest challenges Canadians ages 10-29 to create an original letter to the editor or poster art around suffrage themes, including: democracy, equality, and human rights in Canada.
There are two methods of entry: a written submission or an art submission. Also there are individual and group submission categories. Participants have the opportunity to win up to $500 in gift cards.
- Open to Canadians, ages 10 to 29
- Individuals may make up to 10 submissions (only one is eligible to win prizing)
- See submission guidelines for artwork or writing requirements
The contest closes on May 21, 2017.
