“Anniversary Celebration” CONTEST
Participation Rules



1)The “ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION” Contest (hereafter the “Contest”) is held by and for the benefit of Freudenberg Household Products Inc. (hereafter the “Contest Organizers”) in Canada and on the Internet and will take place from February 15th, 2010 until November 15th 2010, at 11:59 p.m. ET (hereafter the “Contest Period”).

ELIGIBILITY

2)This Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their place of residence (according to the laws of their applicable province or territory). The following persons are excluded from participation: employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, of their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials or services related to the present Contest, as well as members of their immediate families (siblings, children, mother, father), their legal or de facto spouse and all persons with whom these employees, representatives and agents are domiciled.

3)Initial entry. During the Contest Period, visit the www.vileda.ca (http://www.vileda.ca) website, select the “ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION” icon and click on “Register now!”, then click on “Entry form”. The electronic entry form will appear. Fill out all the required fields: your first and last name, telephone number (including area code), province, postal code and email address. Type in the 6-digit contest code available on specially-marked Bee Mop, Super Twist Mop, Oskar Broom and Fibro Contact Mop packaging (hereafter the “participating products”). To obtain a contest code, you may buy a participating product or simply write down the contest code indicated on a participating product when you visit a store that carries participating products. Each of the four participating products has a different contest code. Once you’ve filled out your form, you must certify having read and accepted the terms of the Participation Rules. Then click on “Register now!”. You’ll receive a confirmation email containing a hyperlink. Click on this link by November 15th, 2010 at 11:59 pm, ET to validate your email address and you’ll obtain an initial Contest entry.

4)Additional entries. By entering the Contest in accordance with paragraph 3, you’ll have the opportunity to provide ï€* directly on the entry form ï€* the first name and email address of one or more (up to a maximum of five) friends, in order to invite them to enter the Contest. For each friend who enters the Contest for the first time using the link provided in your e-invitation, you’ll obtain an extra entry. Your friends’ email addresses must be valid and active.

Participation limit

5)Entrants must respect the following limits. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.




There is a limit of four initial Contest entries, on the basis of one entry per participating product code per email address and at all times during the Contest Period.
There is a limit of five additional Contest entries per initial Contest entry per entrant and at all times during the Contest Period.
Entrants will have to use only one and same email address for the entire Contest Period, even if they have more than one email address. To enter the Contest, cookies must not be deactivated.
PRIZES

6)To be won: a trip for two per year during five years, totalling a maximum value of $20,000. The prize will be given in the form of $20,000 worth of credit for travel. The following conditions apply to the credit for travel:




The winner must make his/her reservations with the travel agency designated by the Contest Organizers.
Travel credit must be used during the five years following the draw date. Should the winner not use the entire value of his/her credit for travel by the end of the five-year period, he/she will lose the unused balance.
The winner agrees to respect travel-related conditions and restrictions, including but not limited to the minimum reservation notice period, periods excluded from travel and seat/space availability.
Gratuities, excursions, personal expenses and surcharges or major price modifications (in case of a decline in the Canadian dollar’s value, for instance) are also at the expense of the winner and his/her guests.
Transportation from the winner’s home and from that of his guests to the airport chosen for departure, as well as travel insurance are at the expense of the winner and his/her guests.
Passports and other government documents such as visas as well as required vaccinations are the winner’s responsibility and that of his/her guests. Passports must be valid for at least six months following the end of the stay.
DRAW

7)The random draw will take place on December 6th, 2010 at noon (ET) in Montreal (Quebec) at the offices of the agency in charge of organising the Contest. One entry will be randomly selected among all of the admissible entries received during the Contest Period.

CHANCES OF WINNING

8)Chances of winning depend on the total number of admissible entries registered.

PRIZE CLAIM

9)In order to be declared a winner, the chosen participant must:




Be reached by phone or email, at the Contest Organizers’ discretion, within fifteen days following the random draw. In the event that a chosen participant was reached by email, he/she must reply within fifteen days following receipt of said email and conform to the instructions in the email. Any prize notification email followed by a mention that the message was undeliverable will disqualify the chosen participant, and a new participant will be selected.
Correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, without help and within a limited time, which will be asked by phone by the Contest Organizers at a moment agreed to in advance or by email.
Sign the declaration form and disclaimer of responsibility (hereafter the “Declaration Form”) that will be sent to him/her and return it to the Contest Organizers so that it may be delivered within ten days following its receipt.
10) A selected person will be disqualified if he/she fails to respect one of the above-mentioned conditions or any other condition set out in these present Rules, including refusal of an awarded prize. In such an event, a new draw will take place to award the prize at Contest Organisers’ discretion, in conformity with these present Rules until a person is selected and declared a winner.

11)In the ten days following receipt of the duly signed Declaration Form, the Contest Organizers will mail a letter to the winning person with the necessary information in order to take possession of his/her prize.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

12)All electronic entry forms and Declaration Forms are subject to the verification of the Contest Organizers. Any electronic entry forms or Declaration Form that is, depending on the case, incomplete, fraudulent, transmitted late, that doesn’t contain the correct contact information with which to reach the participant or otherwise non-conforming, will be rejected and deemed invalid. Entry forms, Declaration Forms and information pertaining to participation must be validated to verify the prize claim. The prize will only be allocated after validation and verification.

13)The use of automated registration software is forbidden. Entries made from multiple email addresses, under multiple identities or using any other method to enter many times will be deemed inadmissible. Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify a person or to void one or many entries of anyone entering or trying to enter the present Contest by using any means that go against the present Rules or that make it unfair for other participants (e.g. piracy, entries exceeding the permitted limit, etc.). This person could be referred to the authorities.

14)The prize must be accepted as described in these Rules and cannot be transferred ï€* in whole or in part ï€* to another person or replaced by any other prize.

15)The winner will have the option to receive the prize as described in these Rules or to receive an amount of $10,000 instead, at his/her sole discretion. Once the winner has made his/her decision, no changes can be made.

16)By entering this Contest, the winner releases the Contest Organizers, their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, their employees, agents and representatives from all responsibility for any and all damage that could take place by the acceptance and use of the prize. In order to be declared a winner and prior to obtaining the prize, the winning person agrees to sign a Declaration Form to this effect.

17)The winner recognises that as soon as he/she receives the letter mentioned in paragraph 11 of the present Rules, the travel agency that he/she deals with towards using the awarded travel credit becomes entirely and exclusively responsible for fulfilling obligations related to his/her prize. A declaration to this effect with be included in the Declaration Form.

18)The Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this present Contest, in whole or in part, in the case of any event or human intervention that may corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or progress of the Contest as provided in these present Rules, the whole subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required.

19)The Contest Organizers do not guarantee in any way that the Contest Internet site will be accessible or functional without interruption throughout the Contest Period or that it will be free from any errors.

20)In the event that the computer system is not able to register all Contest entries during the Contest Period and that, for any reason, or if the Contest was to end in whole or in part before the end date stated in the present Rules, the Contest Organizers will proceed to a random selection of a person amongst all admissible entries registered during the Contest Period or at the date of the event that terminated the Contest.

21)In any case, the Contest Organizers, their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials or services related to this present Contest as well as their employees, agents and representatives will not be obligated to allocate more prizes than what is stipulated in the present Rules or to allocate prizes in any other way than that stated in the present Rules.

22)The Contest Organizers, their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, their employees, agents and representatives are released from any responsibility related to the malfunction of any data processing component, of all software or of all lines of communication relating to the loss or absence of communication and which may limit or prevent any person from participating in the Contest. The Contest Organizers, their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, their employees, agents and representatives are also released from any responsibility for any damage or any loss that may have been caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any Internet page or any software related to entering the Contest.

23)By entering or by attempting to enter this present Contest, all persons release the Contest Organizers, their parent, associated and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agencies, their employees, agents and representatives of all damages that may occur as a result of the participation or attempted participation in the present Contest.

24)By entering this Contest, any winning person authorizes the Contest Organizers and their representatives to use, if needed, his/her name, photo, image, declaration in regards to the prize, place of residence and/or voice for advertising purposes, without any form or compensation. A declaration to this effect will be included in the Declaration Form.

25)Contest Organizers will not be held responsible for any entries or Declaration Forms sent erroneously, transmitted late or lost.

26)For the purpose of the present Contest, the participant/entrant is considered to be the person whose contact information has been entered online on the Contest website. It is this person whom will be asked to answer the mathematical skill-testing question. It is also the person to whom the prize will be awarded if he/she is selected at random and if he/she is declared a winner.

27)For residents of Quebec, any dispute with respect to organizing or conducting an advertising contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for scrutiny. A dispute with respect to the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie for the sole purpose of intervention in order to achieve resolution.

28)Any decision on the part of the Contest Organizers or of their representatives, related to this present Contest, is final and without appeal, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec having to do with matters related to its competence.

29)No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with participants within the present Contest other than what is specified in the present Rules or as initiated by the Contest Organizers.

30)Participants’ personal information collected during this Contest will be used solely for managing the Contest. No commercial communication or other, unrelated to the Contest, will be sent to participants unless they authorise this by failing to uncheck the box to this effect on their entry form.

31)If a paragraph of these Rules is declared illegal, non-executable or nil by a competent court, that paragraph will be considered nil, but all other paragraphs that are not concerned will be applied within the limits permitted by the law.

32)In case of discrepancy between the French and English versions of these present Rules, the French version will prevail.

33)Should a guest of the winner be a minor, the winner will have to obtain authorisation from the minor’s parent or legal guardian before the minor is allowed to take part in the trip.
