PupBox Subscription Box Review (Plus Giveaway)

Last week I received a parcel tag for pickup and when the Canada Post employee came from the back room with my package I was super excited to see my PupBox arrived. I love the time I spend with my dogs and cats, so pet subscription boxes are right up my alley! They provide new opportunities to interact together and the chance to try new treats, toys and other pet products that we may pass by in the pet stores.

What is PupBox? PupBox is a subscription box service which offers a customizable box designed for new puppy parents, however, the PupBox subscription box service can be utilized by all pet parents with young or older pups (dogs) alike!

PupBox is with you every step of the way through puppyhood, offering training tips for you to learn and grow together plus they help facilitate fun interactive play time between you and your puppy with new toys and treats inside every box.

Inside The PupBox Subscription Box

Here’s a peek inside the PupBox: I have a dog but it’s been a long time since her actual puppy days (although, I still call her a puppy, my puppy!) So PupBox sent me a sample box of what you could receive for a 4-month old medium breed pup. My PupBox came with training information, toys and treats customized for my mixed Husky breed dog.

PupBox With You Every Step Of The Way Through Puppyhood

Since PupBox offers customizable boxes based on your pup’s breed, size and age; subscription boxes will vary by the information you provide about your puppy or dog.

Let’s look at each of my PupBox items individually…

PupBox Contents 4 Month Puppy

You will receive a package contents sheet in your PupBox subscription, listing the items you’ll find inside your PupBox subscription box. This is the contents sheet for my custom 4-month PupBox.

PupBox Training and DevelopmentPupBox Training and Development

Training and development information for 4-month old puppies is helpful especially for new puppy owners (this info will be customized based on your pup’s age). The training information guides are developed by celebrity dog trainer Andrea Arden, Head of Training and Development and her team of puppy experts.

Even though I am a seasoned dog owner, I learned some new tips and tidbits of information that I wasn’t already aware of. Did you know that a 4-month old pup is roughly half its adult size? I didn’t know this and love learning new info about pets!

While the training info is geared toward 4 month old pups, and my dog is significantly older; a dog is never too old to have their training reinforced. In fact, dog’s generally get to practice their training each day through commands like sit, down, stand; which are the relevant commands to teach a 4-month pup.

PupBox Keep Cool Summer Tips

PupBox also included some summertime water tips and tricks to help keep your pup healthy, happy and cool on hot summer days!

PupBox Keep Cool Water Tips and Tricks for Dogs

It includes tips for summer swimming with your puppy, introducing them to water, keeping them safe around the water and teaching your dog how to dock jump!

Dynamo Dog Treats

Cloud Star Dynamo Dog Functional Treats are soft chew treats for daily support of active dogs. They are made with peanut butter, antioxidants, healthy carbs and protein. They are grain free, plus they are free of wheat, corn soy and artificial colours and flavours. Dynamo Dog contains fruits and vegetables such as kale, carrots, apples, spinach, cherries, beets, sweet potatoes, cranberries and more…

And Cloud Star gives back too! You can help others by cutting out the UPC on the back of the bag, sending it by mail and for every UPC received, Cloud Star will make a donation to a non-profit of your choice. My dog loves softer treats as she ages, so these are perfect for her. I regularly use training treats to reinforce good behaviour in my pets and would use half of one of these treats for my medium size dog and a full one for my large breed dog.

Large Chilly Bone Dog Teether Chew Toy

Multipet International Chilly Bone is a large soft chew teether for puppies and it’s a dental chew for full grown dogs. It promotes healthy teeth and gums and great dental health.

It’s so easy to use, just wet it and freeze it for about an hour; then give it to your pup. It’s reusable, durable and long lasting. I love that it’s vanilla flavoured, yum! This chilly bone can be used year round for stimulating your dogs teeth and gums. I love that it will also do triple-duty in the summer by cooling down your pup on hot summer days, keeping your dog occupied and happy, plus offering dental benefits.

This is definitely my favourite item from the 4-month PupBox subscription box and my dog thinks it’s pretty great too! I have to get another one though because this is a hard item to split between two dogs; and I try to be as fair as possible with my pets.

N-Bone Natural Puppy Teething Rings

N-Bone Natural Puppy Teething Rings help to soothe teething pain and discomfort, provides DHA omega 3 for healthy brain development and makes a great treat for puppies and for dogs that like to chew. They contain calcium for the development of strong teeth and bones. Plus you don’t have to worry about wheat, soy or corn; as it’s free from these ingredients.

There are only 3 teething rings in the package but they are a large 2 inch ring which lasted my medium size dog roughly 15-20 minutes from start to finish. I never thought to feed pumpkin flavoured treats to my pooch before, and she really enjoyed them.

Gnawsome Medium Squeak and Light Dog Ball

Gnawsome Medium Squeak & Light Ball for dogs is so much fun! It squeaks when you squeeze it or your pup chews it. Plus when you toss it to your dog it lights up inside with multi colours. The light stays on for roughly 15 seconds before turning off.  The surface of the ball is covered in spikes, which work well for grip and it can also stimulate your pup’s gums. I tried to get a pic with the light on so you could see how bright the ball is. It’s a great toy to play with on overcast days and in the evening. The light is activated by movement, so there’s no switches to turn on and off.

My mixed husky is more of a flying disc kind of dog but my other dog absolutely loves playing with balls. And he especially loves toys that make noise. This ball is going to get so much use at my home!

The Natural Dog Company All Natural Dog Treat

The Natural Dog Company All Natural Dog Treat Bully Stick are awesome chews for dogs. These treats are loved so much by both of my dogs, that my mixed Husky (the tester of this subscription box) had to share with her pup brother. She didn’t mind, she’s really good at sharing….for a dog! I love that this bully stick is odour-free and it’s not greasy either. Win-win for the pets and the pet parents!

Zippy Paws Burrow Interactive Dog Toy

Zippy Paws Burrow Interactive Dog Toy is a fun hide and seek puzzle toy to challenge your dog. It comes with 3 squeaky sharks to hide inside the S.S. Zippy ship! It’s great for playing together with your pup, teaching them how to find and recover their hiding toys.

I love this toy, it’s a ton of fun; however, I would gear this size toy toward a smaller pet than mine. Despite the size of the toys, we are still having a ball playing with it. My kitties even want to get involved by sticking their paws into the holes too.

We had a lot of fun testing out the PupBox. I love treating my pets and they enjoy every minute of it!
